About Saudi Arabia

KSA, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an Arabic country as well as largest Arabian Peninsula . Saudi Arabia is bordered with Jordan to northwest, Iraq on northeast and north, Bahrain , Qatar , Kuwait and United Arab Emirates on East; on southeast there is Oman and Yemen on south. Gulf of Persian to northeast and Red Sea to the west, country has the population (estimated) of 27.6 million and size of country is approx 2,150,000 S. kilometers. Kingdom is called some time as " Land of Two holy Mosques" in the reference to Medinah and Makkah, which are two holiest places in Islam. It is most commonly refer as Saudi Arabia in English.

 

Current Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was founded by Abdul-Aziz bin Saud, with his efforts in 1902, he captured Al-Saud's ancestral home in the Riyadh , after that culminated in year 1932 with recognition and proclamation of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia , it was through the national origins and go back as far as in 1744 with establishment of First Saudi State .

 

Saudi Arabia is world's leading exporter of petroleum and Oil account for over 90% of exports as well as nearly 75% of the government revenues. Creation and facilitating of welfare state which government found difficult to the fund periods of the low prices in Oil sector. Saudi Arabia is called and energy superpower along with Russia .

 

Some Human Right Groups such as international Amnesty has expressed repeatedly concern about state of the human rights in the State of Saudi Arabia. Those concern have dismissed although by Saudi Government. There are no political parties (recognized) or national the national elections except local elections that held in year 2005 when there was participation reserved for the male citizens only. King's power is theoretically within bounds of the Saudi traditions and Sharia's any many other important elements in the Society of Saudi Arabia. Government spread Islam by funding in the construction of mosques as well as opening of Schools (Qura'an) around the world.
